Inconsiderate 'Friends'

I have some friends who are a couple, let's call them Billy and Jennifer, and we've been friends for a really long time. While me and my partner were away at uni we all changed, grew up a bit, met new people, and so on. But it just astonishes me to see how much of a pair of butt-kissers they've become!

We all used to be friends with a guy, let's call him Phil, but had a massive falling out because he screwed us all over. But Billy and Jennifer are friends with him again, just as he's making a name for himself in a band and can get himself and his friends onto any guest list for any event in London. Coincidence? I think not.

It's fine, it's their business, but they're determined to shove it in our faces. They he's never attempted to make amends with us for what he did, yet when we were out with them yesterday, Phil and his new girlfriend showed up at the bar we were all in, they'd told him to come! They could've let us know he was coming and we could've made up our minds about staying, but they didn't so we finished our drinks and left, it was painfully awkward and he didn't come anywhere near us. I've had enough, it's just not on!

I thought Big Brother finished?

Apparently Brian Dowling is the new presenter of Big Brother, when it moves to Channel 5 this year. I thought the program was axed, but apparently it was only dropped by Channel 4, and has been picked up by Channel 5 now and will launch with a celebrity edition before the full series starts.

I always liked Big Brother, especially the celebrity ones but I wonder if it'll be as good now it's no longer on Channel 4, it'll be interesting to see! I hope it's not just a second-rate version!

I'm happy that Brian Dowling will be host though, he was brilliant in the original series that he won, and again on the final farewell series they did, he's just always shown himself to be one of the Big Brother good guys, and is hilarious so I'm sure he'll make a great host.
